My new life started December 30,2013. I had my ups and downs but over all I've been good. Went back to work full time just after 7 days and I glad I did because it made me busy. Well now tomorrow I start school and I am taking 6 classes. So besides working and taking care of my sleeve, I will have another thing on my plate. I hope I am not over doing it. I also workout 4 days a weeks. Don't ask how I find the time to do it.. Haha.. Just trying to graduate next December with 2 majors in law :) so excited. I wanna be a skinny bitch lawyer hahahaha .. Ok sorry don't want to sound coincided but I am just excited :)

I am craving some food so badly but thankfully I am keeping my self busy.

Congratulations on your new sleeve! I got mine on dec 21st. You will be a skinny mini lawyer! I'm excited for you. It's great you're keeping yourself busy, I've been having trouble with that. How are you feeling?

Good luck on all of the transitions! You sound like you are very driven, so I'm sure you can do it! I had mine 9/12, right after the beginning of a fall semester in my phd program, and ended up withdrawing from the semester because it was just too much for me in addition to my full time job, kids, and recovering from surgery. I started back this spring though, 4 months post op with no problems at all. :-) Keep up the hard work!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
