lrw26 0 Posted March 24, 2007 I am just wondering what other people have been told. I was told to only have three meals a day and am curious if there are variations to this. Seems I have read different versions here and there. I have started real foods but meals are so small that I don't know when to fit in the yougurt and fruit etc. In order to do that I would have to have a fruit or yougurt (not crazy for other dairy). I have had first fill of 2.5cc and am scheduled for the second on April 10th. Not sure what it feels like to have restiction and I do get hungry a few times a day especially in the aftrenoons. lrw26 0 Posted March 24, 2007 Is that what the doctor and dietitian told you or are you going by your own intution..? I do that lots of times and I have a hard time with the strict 3 meals a day as I go exercise in the am, always eat when I get up and need soemthing after the exercise, like fruit or soemhting...:hungry:
libra 13 Posted March 25, 2007 That's what my doctor said to do. My Snacks are small, maybe a cheese stick or a few nuts. It works for me. I work out 6 days a week and drink at least 8 glasses of Water a day also.

lrw26 0 Posted March 25, 2007 Thanks very much... that is not like what I was taught but I think I may fudge a bit as I never did really well with a strict 3 meal a day plan. lrw26 0 Posted March 25, 2007 Interesting because here at the center in San Diego that is what they tell the gastric bypass patients but they emphasize 3 meals a day for lapband. So I gather there are different approaches and if it works I don't mind straying from their instructions a bit...
Surby 1 Posted March 25, 2007 I started with 3 meals and a few small Snacks throughout the day. I am now 7 months out and I'm only doing 3 meals. I rarely snack. I do get a large unsweetened tea from Chick-Fil-A every morning and sip on that throughout the day. Occasionally I'll have a few nuts or one of those Hershey's minis. I'm completely amazed that I can go thru the day now eating so little. I've also learned that it's ok to be a little hungry. I'm not sure what has changed, but it's AMAZING!!
