bklyn girl 9 Posted January 21, 2014 Had surgery January 13, and am 1 week out and I'm always cold! Lost 13 lbs so far down from 200 to 187 and I'm cold and a little weak. I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago and I used to have hot flashes all the time, not anymore. Maybe lacking Vitamins?
newat52 1,613 Posted January 21, 2014 Get used to it. It it common with WLS apparently. I am freezing ALL the time! Even the hot Texas summer was not an issue. I wear long underwear now all the time and sit under an electric throw all the time. If this is the worst thing, I'll take it! I'm almost 11 months out and don't see things changing anytime soon! loving.life 110 Posted January 21, 2014 Oh forgot to tell you. I read a yr ago that when a person loses weight, their liver releases stored estrogen, that might be why

alc1071 43 Posted January 21, 2014 Yes agree with ajustice, it definitely comes with the territory. I used to always run warm and now I'm always cold! My husband jokes that it's because I "lost my padding"! For Christmas he bought me an electric blanket with dual controls - my side is on high every night, his side isn 't even plugged in!
