New Hope 37 Posted September 13, 2004 Dana, do you know that your insurance company covers the Lapband procedure for sure? You can check w/ your benefits coordinator. If so, then there's no guarantee how long everything takes. It will probably be longer than you want to wait, so don't be surprised. But then again, you can always get lucky. Good luck! nightingale2u 42 Posted September 13, 2004 Welcome Dana and wishing you the best in your journey to be banded. I think everyone has a different waiting period depending on their insurance requirements and how quickly the surgeopn is able to schedule your appointments. I started the process the 1st of April and was banded June 30th. Good luck with everything and you'll find everyone is very helpful and happy to answer any questions that may pop up down the road. blossom 2 Posted September 13, 2004 Hi Dana! Welcome to the board!!! I too am waiting for insurance approval. I just hate waiting, time just seems to drag. But, all this waiting has given me the time I needed to do a lot of research, and get to know all these wonderful people on this board.
