Swampyspouse 19 Posted January 20, 2014 I see a lot of you mix powder into things. What is it I would look for when going to purchase? Can you add it to scrambled eggs for example before cooking? If you add it to Soup does it change the taste? I'm worried about not getting enoug Protein. Thanks for any suggestions.
SuperFab 689 Posted January 21, 2014 You don't want to heat it over 140 degrees or it'll clump. U can add to Soups, mashed potatoes, puddings, etc.
Kindle 8,667 Posted January 21, 2014 You want yo look for unflavored Protein Powder. I've tried both Syntrax Nectar and Unjury and both are fairly equal. I've seen good reviews on Jay Robb, too. Premix with a little liquid in a Blender Bottle and don't heat over 140 to avoid clumps. Even though it's unflavored, it does have a distinct whey flavor. Most foods, Soups, etc will mask the taste, but I wouldn't mix it in Water or tea, etc. 2 NewSetOfCurves and Jenuine629 reacted to this
NewSetOfCurves 1,553 Posted January 21, 2014 I agree with kindle. I've used the Unjury and it does have a distinct flavor...there is no such thing as flavorless whey Protein, but it can be masked. I don't know what stage you're at, or if your at a full diet, but Soups, mashed potatoes, sf puddings, homemade smoothies, etc all hide the flavor pretty well. penman53 493 Posted June 9, 2014 eggs have some good Protein numbers by themselves don't they? I also think that some of the egg beaters have increased protein. But I made the mistake of getting some oatmeal over 140 getting mixed with some Unjury protein. What a yucky mess.
bikrchk 1,313 Posted June 9, 2014 I add chocolate Protein to coffee. Mix with a small amount of cool Water first then add the coffee in a shaker.< /p>
