Dance Lessons.. NSV

Recommended Posts

Lisa, you are such a HOOT!!!

Leatha, you are doing so awsome!!! I can't think of a more fun way to excercise than dancing! If my DH worked 'normal' hours I think I would drag him to some dance classes. The only dancing we do is in the kitchen!

That sounds SOOO fun. I also married a non-dancer, and though he's a great husband, I really wish we had that in our lives.

I didn't start gaining weight until I gave the dancing up. We're not big drinkers, and he's not much on going dancing, so after we got married, he never really wanted to go anywhere for dancing. I went anyway with girlfriends for a while, but I always loved dancing with my man best. Then eventually he leaned on me about going out without him until I quit altogether.

I gave up the only exercise I enjoyed for that man... now I sit here this morning, lap-banded and giving my keyboard a better workout than any part of my body has had all week... he better not say a word!

Pam, he may want to reconsider. You keep melting away like this and there's going to be several guys that will take you dancing! You could take up belly dancing. That ought to get his attention!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
