msirish 68 Posted January 19, 2014 My incisions are in places that make me worry about rubbing. One small one between my lower breasts...afraid to wear a bra. Then what about pants there are several incisions there too. They don't hurt, but I am afraid of them opening. How long should I wait?
T-BEAR 8 Posted January 19, 2014 I just has lap band too. I still have not worn bra or underwear. When I do, I know it will be without underwire. When was your surgery? Mine was yesterday.

msirish 68 Posted January 19, 2014 I am feeling good. However, my legs and arms hurt. I wanted to go to the store today, but have few choices on what to wear. I am wearing a sun dress most of the time.

MistyfortheMountain 119 Posted January 19, 2014 I went and bought some sports bras. No real shaping to them but they made me feel secure and not look like two cats were fighting in my shirt. 1 2busygirl reacted to this

BandtoSleevechick 171 Posted January 19, 2014 I waited a few days and then wore a sports bra to keep them off my stomach... a week later I was in my regular bra no issues..being home though post opt..i loved my sports bra..when I went out I put the wires on.. wasn't bad! Goodluck!!!!
BillieG 81 Posted January 19, 2014 I had more of an issue with pants than the bra. Just wear a comfortable bra and the line will actually rest above the incision. Other than pajama pants, I have one pair of loose fitting sweats with a comfortable waist line. . My stomach was achy and bloated making my other pants feel tight. That hurt me more than the actual incisions. Just pull your waist line below your belly. Or better yet wear night gowns if you are staying home. My incisions are in places that make me worry about rubbing. One small one between my lower breasts...afraid to wear a bra. Then what about pants there are several incisions there too. As several have already said, wearing a sports bra for a while works and in regards to your waistline, wear any pants with rubber or wear dresses.
bluegudren 156 Posted January 21, 2014 I was confused post op and on the 3rd day I removed the surgical tape on my incisions. I was so lucky that nothing horrible happened. They stayed closed and healed fine with clothing rubbing on them and everything.
