Who Dat 70461 331 Posted January 18, 2014 Anticipation leading up to the surgery is the worst! However, the process itself will be over before you know it. I'm a little over 8 months and it is amazing that it all seems so long ago! You are in for one heck of a journey! Follow doc's orders to the letter and walk as much as possible after the surgery (trust me, it'll help the recovery go much easier). Good luck! 2 gourmetone and stephg reacted to this

Who Dat 70461 331 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) The before pics were taken February 2013, after pics in December 2013. Don't rush the process. Follow doc's orders (no, it's not okay to cheat a little...follow the plan!) and as soon as comfortable, get to moving around (which will be much easier without the extra lbs., I promise!), whether it's walking, swimming, biking...whatever, just do it! You're in for one helluva journey! Regardless of what others may say or think, you aren't taking the "easy way out"...it's going to be work, but you can/will be able to do it and come out on the other side loving life! I am prepared to do the work and I know it won't be easy. I quit smoking a few months ago and I am ending my love for diet coke tomorrow. It's gonna be a tough journey, but I'm ready to be back on the other side! I have already been hearing how it's the "easy" way out, some people have no clue and that's why I'm glad I found this site!!! I can't wait to have before and after pics 1 Who Dat 70461 reacted to this

lauri407 29 Posted January 22, 2014 This cracked me up a bit. I came out of surgery and when I was finally in my hospital room, I looked around and wondered why I was even there because I hadn't had surgery. I was so high on painkillers I didn't realize I had had surgery already. I took me looking down my hospital gown to realize I had in fact had five new holes in me. I wish you well in your days before surgery! It IS real! 1 stephg reacted to this
