is anyone using this app??

I've been using it daily and I would like to connect with more friends (especially those with "open diaries") so that I can get a better idea of what everyone else is eating... I keep my diary open as well.

I had my surgery 12/30/13 and i'm re-learning to eat all over again....still sounds funny to me.

thank you,

ellie

I'm using it. I wouldn't mind friends on it either although I'm slightly technically impaired. You'd have to explain how to me how to add someone. And perhaps how to make the diary open.

I'll take a look and see if I can figure out out as well.

Jensnewjourney. I'd love more friends on MFP to get ideas of what people are eating.

You can look for me in the "community" tab, "find members" then type my user name

You can go to settings to set ur diary open

Hope this helps

I use it but my diary is not open due to judge mental people with eating less than 1200 calories.

I understand....I've often wondered "if I eat this (not the most healthy choice) someone's gonna judge me, I should close my diary"... but so far I haven't had a bad experience...everyone's been very supportive...and I think that keeping my diary open helps me stay "in-check" and forces me to make better choices...that's a personal choice....I welcome ur friendship on MFP without you having to open your diary...I completely respect that.

As far as calories...I'm one of those that has been under 1200 but it's because I'm not even 3 weeks out and I can't get anymore in...more than anything else =)

Anyone is free to add me: Mouse0nTheMile (the O in On is a zero)

My diary should be open and hey, I chart everything and I'm not a purist, I eat some stuff I shouldn't, in small amounts and I'm honest about it. I've fortunately never had flame for it.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
