have you tried different kinds of Protein shakes? I know my NUT gave me a good size list of ones I could choose from (obviously low sugar, high protein)? I have never personally tried unjury yet, I know I will have to once I am post op.....sorry I couldn't be more help. Good Luck!

I'm 11 days pre-op and I can't stand these Protein shakes with unjury. I'm getting nowhere near enough Protein. Any suggestions to make "full liquids" more tolerable?

At Sams you can buy Premier Protein Shakes and they are pretty good. There are 40 grams of protein per shake and only 1 gram of sugar. I like the Atkins shakes the best but they don't have as much protein in them even though they do taste much better. Have you tried the unflavored Unjury mixed into sugar free Jello? Keep trying things till you find something that works. Just remember that you aren't going to find anything that tastes like Cookies and cream icecream... we're talking diet food here. Good luck. I've lost 15 pounds drinking one for Breakfast, one for lunch and then eating a healthy supper. Plus I have 2 Snacks during the day.

Atkins are the best so far. EAS is good. Advocare was horrendous. Just bought Unjury. Going to try tomorrow. Anyone have a good strawberry flavor they'd recommend? Hands down, the Atkins Mocha is the best (so far).

Everyone's taste is so different on shakes.< /p>

I couldn't do the premier that a lot of people swear by.

Pre-surgery I loved the syntax nectar. After surgery not so much but to be honest haven't had any since a few days out. May have to try again as I still have a few packages around.

I do like the Unjury both vanilla and chocolate but these days are not drinking shakes very often.

Good luck with your journey!

My favorite is the Muscle Milk Light. I just get the chocolate ones. Had them pre surgery liquid diet and still have no issue consuming them now.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
