vegasneon 181 Posted January 17, 2014 I couldn't drink cold plain Water for 10 weeks. Sample just a bit and then take it slow if you can drink it. Some people never have a problem. What the other poster was saying, was that if you add something like crystal lite or one of those sugar free flavored squirt liquids (like the Mio), it reduces the density of the water and makes it easier to drink. My life savor for getting "liquid" in post op was those sugar free Popsicles. Now I drink water without a problem. I can't chug it down without getting that tight feeling in the chest or burpiness, but I can drink it fast and satisfy my thirst. Did I over do it????? Cold water always hurt my pouch! I drank room temperature water. I can drink cold water now. Although sometimes it will still feel a lttile weird. I'm 9 months out!
