vegasneon 181 Posted January 17, 2014 I couldn't drink cold plain Water for 10 weeks. Sample just a bit and then take it slow if you can drink it. Some people never have a problem. For me even a sip was painful and felt "hard". Adding just a little flavor somehow softens it.

NewSetOfCurves 1,553 Posted January 17, 2014 Yes, you're suppose to sip your Water all day. What the other poster was saying, was that if you add something like crystal lite or one of those sugar free flavored squirt liquids (like the Mio), it reduces the density of the water and makes it easier to drink. My life savor for getting "liquid" in post op was those sugar free Popsicles. Now I drink water without a problem. I can't chug it down without getting that tight feeling in the chest or burpiness, but I can drink it fast and satisfy my thirst. I drink between 64-88 ounces a day. 2 LindafromFlorida and Madelyne Bonthron reacted to this

ribearty 544 Posted January 17, 2014 You may have drank the Water too fast or taken in more than you should at one time. You are not that far out. I was fortunate that I could drink cold, room temperature or warm Water.< /p> Take small sips.
