Kezzer 4 Posted January 16, 2014 I'm so glad I found this site, anything that has been worrying me has pretty much been covered, I live in Northamptonshire in the UK, it would be great to hear from fellow UKers.

MRock 3 Posted January 26, 2014 Hi cheermomma - I'm new to this site, searching and reading. I'm replying to yours because it seems that I had my surgery around the same time as you. Mine was 1/14. I've also been feeling blue, I wonder why that is. I'm anxious about this whole process, haven't list anything and am still in pain. I suppose I still have a lot of swelling internally tho because it is very difficult at times to get much of my sips of liquid in. I wish you well and hope that we can find the help we need on this site. 1 finallythin reacted to this
finallythin 18 Posted January 26, 2014 Hi. I was sleeved on Wed 1/22. I am still very sore inside and got 6 little incisions on my torso. I can barely drink anything and it hurts inside my sleeve once liquid comes into contact. I just keep trying to sleep. Yesterday I slept 9 hrs straight. Wow. With a family of 6, that's a rarity. Anybody else suffering from pain when liquid enters sleeve? Realize I'm only 4 days post-op. Just sad. 1 LindafromFlorida reacted to this
michelev97 27 Posted January 27, 2014 I went through intense crying haha post op. I don't know if others went through it, but was told that it could be related to hormones, giving up my friend-food obsession, meds missed post op-anti-depressants or a combo. Just know that this too shall pass 1 finallythin reacted to this
finallythin 18 Posted January 27, 2014 Thanks michelev97!! Helps!! Glad I'm not the only one going on this journey....happy to see it gets better!
michelev97 27 Posted January 27, 2014 Finallythin, We are in this together. It's great to have the support. I am 6 weeks post op, I think. It took a while to be able to drink as much as they wanted. Have you tried hot liquids? They relax the pouch. There are some delicious high Protein hot chocolates. 1 finallythin reacted to this
LindafromFlorida 1,542 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) I am 2 months post op. I took one dose of pain med when I came home. My husband and I barely experienced any pain or took meds. I read a lot of posts and it seems like it is pretty common to feel a little down after surgery. I feel like the worst part is not knowing what to expect. We are doing great, trying little bits of new foods without a problem, and I just want to remind everyone to chew, chew and chew more!!! We drink all day long without a problem. Being a little cautious is a good thing!!! Very happy for you all, and myself, for the successes, the faith, and the strength to take control of our lives! finallythin 18 Posted January 28, 2014 Hi michelev97, Yes I agree! Thanks for advice...needed desperately right now. Guess I had some "head hunger" today. I found myself standing in front of my wide-open refrigerator.... eyeballing the contents. Wish I could get rid of the feeling of needing to eat anytime I feel like it. I did try some hot cocoa and some cream of chicken Protein Drinks. They are tolerable. thanks again.

michelev97 27 Posted January 28, 2014 Gruiz, It's normal to be scared. It's the unknown that frightens me so educate yourself as much as u can. We're here for u. Stock up on liquids and get your pain meds filled before surgery shoo u have them art discharge.
