Blenders? Are they all the same?

Recommended Posts

Have a Breville Blender, a pretty expensive Blender!!! Having trouble with Ice in it. My friends all rave and say I must get a Vitamix. I don't mind spending the money if it truly is different but someone else told me to get a Ninja at more than half the cost but does the same as a Vitamix. What do you think? Any feedback is appreciated!

Vitamix is good. But I have been using a nutribullet.

That's true, an entire blender is quite large for what we can eat.

I bought a Ninja at costco and can't say enough about it. It's great for making Protein smoothies with ice, etc.

Everyone one agree the Ninja is comparable to the Vitamix just a lot less $?

Why would someone need a $400 blender?

Tomato - tomahtoe.....I looked into all of them and settled on a Blendtec. Great blender. Does everything. Longest warranty. Cost more than Ninja, less than Vitamix. Uses a design with dull blades which accomplish the same blending but never need replacing like ones that are sharp. Whatever floats your boat.

It's all about the internals and your usage. Cheap blenders are going to have a lot of plastic parts inside. Gears ... levers ... and over time, they will wear out. Depending on how you use it, though will determine what that time frame is. If you are making smoothies and margaritas with large ice cubes everyday it's life will be drastically shorter than if you were blending lentil Soup everyday.

The vitamix genre of blenders is going to have metal parts inside. Yes, they cost a lot more, but if you do heavy duty stuff or just want to have your blender for 40 years, then it may be a better option for you in the long run.

It reminds me of drills ... same exact thing. A Black and Decker drill will work great for the first year if you are using it often. But then, you will start to notice it slipping more or it just can't drill a screw all the way in. Plastic insides ... Now, a Milwaukee drill will last forever and can sink a screw as deep on the 10,000 screw as it did on the first.

You get what you pay for.

I got a Vitamix for Xmas & love it. One of the nice things is u can make ice cream out of your Protein Shakes. I also have a nutri bullet but like the other better, just sayin'

I also have a Blendtec, which is comparable in price to a Vitamix. I got mine at costco and they have a 7 year warranty. It's great for crushing ice. I would recommend them.

I've also been using my Ninja for more than a year and think it's great. I'd bet it's close to as good as a Vitamix/Blendtec. I feel comfortable with the price.

I was given a Vitamix as a gift last year -- we've burned up our share of blenders and we wanted to do more things. It is fantastic. It's great that there are other options out there that people enjoy as well.

If I were purchasing right now, since costco sells the Ninja, Blendtec and Vitamix and has a great return policy, I'd be tempted to purchase the Ninja and try out some of the moves that makes Vitamix great (like making ice cream, etc.).

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
