kata13 56 Posted January 15, 2014 Hate to admit but I have been having cravings and when I tried to sneak a few bites of something I knew I shouldn't eat it seems like my throat closes up and will not let it past my throat.... I then have to let it back up. I don't believe this has to do with my pouch as it feels like its in my throat and I have a bit of trouble with breath until it's gone.... Is this what you guys experience?

loving.life 110 Posted January 15, 2014 Oh no! Can we not have yogurt post op? My whole life I have had an intolerance to dairy and 3 months ago it magically disappeared and Greek yogurt Is my after dinner snack! My doc is very strict. He said that puking in the first 2 weeks can cause a leak so we can only have broth, sf popsicle, hello, and Clear Liquids. I can't wait to have yogurt. I have Greek blue berry in the fridge waiting on me

My whole life I have had an intolerance to dairy and 3 months ago it magically disappeared and Greek yogurt Is my after dinner snack! You can have yogurt and it is highly recommended as a great source of Protein and is considered a 'full liquid'. But even yogurt will make me puke if I eat it too fast. This happened to me Sunday and I fought to keep it down but lost the battle in a Walmart restroom. Also, if my stomach is queasy for any reason eating anything including yogurt will make me puke. When that happens I can't eat or drink anything for a few hours till my pouch calms down. I end up headachy from mild dehydration. So much easier to avoid the whole situation by eating my safe foods slowly and carefully. I am 7 1/2 months out.
