megpie 20 Posted January 15, 2014 Ever since I started mushies (done in 2 days) I've been having really bad heart burn after I eat. Is this something I should call my doctor about or should I just take some tums and call it a day? It's not THAT painful just more annoying than anything. Chele H 427 Posted January 15, 2014 I was prescribed Prevacid for 30 days post op and I ocassionally still take tbe OTC ones. It may not be too uncomfortable but it can cause damage to your esophagus over time. Call your surgeon, better safe than sorry. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Doug100 17 Posted January 15, 2014 I had heartburn from day one. Surgery date 9-10-13. I tried OTC Prevacid then asked for and received a scrip. None since and I take it every day at 6 am.
