Jodi WIlliams 4 Posted February 12, 2014 I'm only on a liquid diet the day before my surgery. Wonder why this varies so much between doctors? Hi there . I have been a bander for over 8 years and still remember my pre surgery diet well . Most doctors will get you stay on the diet until the opp so that is quiet normal . Good luck
Soolie 0 Posted February 12, 2014 Can any one tell me about the Milk Diet prior to surgery - this is to help shrink the liver ? I am not doing the Milk Diet but am going to do a low carb diet instead.... Just wonder how long you have to stay on it? Any help/info gratefully received? showingmyinside 14 Posted February 12, 2014 Thank you everyone for your good luck wishes! Done and "my precious" is now installed! Amazingly, I am just sore at my incisions but that gas is a painful mo-fo! Regardless, super glad it is done and over with! I get to go home tomorrow (have to stay for my insurance otherwise they won't pay for the hiatal hernia repair that was also done at the same time). Blessings and prays for those that have theirs surgeries come up soon!

I too have to have a hiatal hernia repaired but I am not having to stay overnight. Interesting how different insurances operate. 1 showingmyinside reacted to this

I have Tricare Prime, the insurance carried by the military. We are in the southern region so Humana acts as out point of contact here. It changes from region to region which is why some people have different requirements than others.

Paigepatches 17 Posted February 12, 2014 Hi everyone! Had my surgery this morning and back to hotel by noon. I have some shoulder pain, muscle tightness, and my incision sites are a little sore....but nothing horrendous. Everyone at the clinic was very nice. I've been napping off and on today...sipping lots of Water. So grateful the surgery is over and now I enter the next stage!, 1 showingmyinside reacted to this
