mad2013 2 Posted January 14, 2014 Anyone else on the lean Protein, veggies, and shakes preop diet??? I've been on it for 5 days and I am CRAVING chocolate sooo bad!!! Not sure why! I'm doing good but I just want some m&m's!!!
lisacaron 5,075 Posted January 14, 2014 Try a chocolate Protein Shake and see if that will help curb the craving. That is what worked for me. If you are not on a liquid diet you can try a Protein Bar as well. This way you will be getting your Protein in as well as curb that craving.

RJ'S/beginning 5,358 Posted January 14, 2014 Your body is already detoxing from refined sugar...What is chocolate except, cocoa Beans, oil and sugar...So it is going through withdrawal... Hold on it will get better after a few more days...K 2 chasingadream and Bandista reacted to this
LadyDiva618 359 Posted January 14, 2014 Try Atkins double chocolate shakes or Sugar Free Chocolate pudding. This helps me during this stage.

KayVon 68 Posted January 16, 2014 Okay! As a chocoholic on the same pre op diet I have great news. Are you taking the Calcium tablets yet? I found chewables that taste just like chocolate. No sugar! No nothing! It blew my mind. Because I was expecting that atrocious Vitamin taste, but nope! I'll have to take a picture for you. It's one a day and I take it in the morning to get rid of need for sweets. I'm on day one of the pre Op. And I haven't thought once about a sweet. Let me know if you're interested! I'm at work currently but I have no problems following up with you when I'm off work. 1 JOANNE M HOLL reacted to this

Good luck on your diet that means you are only 6 days behind me for surgery
Rojasanoll 920 Posted January 16, 2014 the sugar free double chocolate pudding. mmmmmm Also freeze a chocolate Protein shake in tupper ware popsicle molds for a treat at night. Use 1-2% milk with shake mix so there's more of a good taste after it;s frozen. Best wishes
