OMG That is so fantastic that I have to ask if that is even healthy? You look great - certainly doesnt appear you should lose 20 more pounds (though I understand). I didnt look at your profile but will - what was your starting height, weight, and size.

Im asking too because I wonder if your stats are similar to mine. I am down almost 100 lbs in 9 months.

HOW DID YOU LOSE 120 in 8 months though??? Is it still coming off? Mine has stabilized a bit.

Thanks

Thank you. My stats are:

HW: 274

CW: 150

GW: 130

I certainly think I can get down to 130 lbs being that I'm only 5'3 tall. I am very happy with my weight loss thus far. I'm a very avid runner since surgery. I couldn't run a day in my life before this surgery. Now, I love to run four to five times a week (3 miles) each day. I think running has helped me a great deal. Low carbs and high Protein of course, as well.

Of course, at times, my weight loss slows a bit, but start losing again. You've done well yourself in 9 months. :)

Good luck and Congrats on your success!

Thank you! Your doing fantastic also. Good for you. :) It does get frustrating when our weight gets to a stand still, but no worries, it soon jump starts again. Working out is definitely a key to losing! I agree. In between running, I use the Wii fit :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
