carolinateacher 2 Posted January 14, 2014 It is great to hear from people who have similar stories. I am a 36 year old mother of two. I was sleeved on Jan. 6 and everything is going great. Feel free to message me about any questions you may have. I'm keeping a daily journal of my experiences as well as what I'm eating and drinking. Good luck! carolinateacher 2 Posted January 14, 2014 Recovery has actually been really easy for me. I know you will hear this a million times, but within a couple of hours of surgery, I was up walking, walking, and walking some more. My surgery was Monday afternoon at 4:00 and I was home Wednesday. I started an all liquid diet Thursday, and my doctors requires me continue that for 14 days. I have not been hungry at all and I've even cooked for my family since, and I've had no desire to taste what I was cooking. I have been walking at least 30 minutes a day and I've even been working out slowly on my elliptical. I haven't felt this good in quite a while. My doctor wanted me out of work for 2 weeks but I feel like I could of gone back today! The only sad news is that I've only lost 3 pounds but I'm trying to keep my head up and not get discouraged. Jerziegirl 42 Posted January 14, 2014 Hi, I am also a mother of 3 in NJ. I have a tentative date of March 3rd and I'm excited and nervous all rolled up into one! I have the band now (hasn't worked in 5 years) and I am having it removed, hernia repair and sleeve revision all in one day! Any advice or support would be great!
