shellbellz222 0 Posted March 22, 2007 jullee, i have two tattoos. fortunately, there both in places (upper back and inside right ankle) that they shouldn't really be bothered too much by my weight loss. I did, however, have a very close friend of mine that lost weight and it had an impact on her tattoo. it was a tribal tattoo on her lower back. it didn't look awful or anything you could just tell that it had shrunk a little. i'm sure that there are tattoo artists that could touch up or refigure any tattoo that doesn't suit you. it's pretty amazing what they can do now a days. but anyway, good luck with your surgery. Spydr 0 Posted March 22, 2007 I have about 30 tattoos (have not counted in a while) and they look okay. I have lost a bunch of weight and had plastic surgery and they still look good. The only ones that have a difference at this point are the ones on my back. They have come in a bit due to me losing a number inches in my sholders. I will be having the skin under my arms removed and tightened at some point this year and that will change the ones on my upper arms. I too think it's all about location. I chuckled under my breath at what is going to happen to it during a pregnancy, if she should ever decide to become a parent. :biggrin1: OkTwigs

piercedqt78 658 Posted March 23, 2007 I am covered with huge tattoos, you can see them on my myspace page. They have held up just fine. My tattoos are on my neck, arms, back, between my shoulder blades and on my legs and feet. They all look fine, just a bit bigger now. Think about it like this, a postage stamp on a poster board, compared to the same stamp on a recipie card. I have gone from a size 24 to a size 11jr so I think I am qualified to answer. I want to get a few more tattoos but I am waiting until after I've had my lower body lift. I want one on my lower back and something around my bellybutton. I'm done having kids and now that I am thin I want to get the work done. I have my band date on my back under a flaming lotus, I love it. ~Mandy
