Stacyb8923 1 Posted January 12, 2014 I had my original RnY in Sept of 2002. I went from 317 to 170. In 2010, my stoma closed up on me, and they had to expand whatever it was. After that, it seemed that I could eat so much more. Over the last two years, I have had more problems one after another. Ulcers, scar tissue, stoma was closed again, Fistula etc.. So, they went in to fix the fistula, ran into so many problems, they ended up taking out the remaining of my old stomach, and recutting a new pouch, taking out the old pouch as well. They had a lot of work to do, and it took 6 hours during the surgery. I was in the hospital for two days, That was two weeks ago. I am so sore still. The first time I had this done, it was in one day and out the other, and then two weeks in bed. I feel worse this trip around. I also haven't lost but 12 lbs in two weeks, and it is already a struggle. 1 SnowDaisy reacted to this

SnowDaisy 73 Posted January 13, 2014 Wow Stacy that was a nightmare. So you have no remaining stomach apart from the pouch? I think that 12lbs is pretty good really...you are still healing, swollen and probably retaining Water due to anesthesia. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Did the doctors give you a explanation to why all this has been happening to you? Or did this all suddenly happen with no warnings?
