ebonidarden 1 Posted January 12, 2014 Has your shoe size gotten smaller since your surgery?
*susan* 1,709 Posted January 12, 2014 Absolutely, mine did! I used to be a 9 double wide. Now I take an 8 narrow. 1 ebonidarden reacted to this
jnlebean 25 Posted January 12, 2014 Yes I went from 10.5/11 wide to 9.5 reg, during my first weight loss. I think once I have the sleeve surgery and get down to my goal, whatever that might be (for me it s feeling not a number) I think my shoe size will be about a 9. That's a big change and of course shoes in that size start to get cuter! Fun non scale victories! 1 ebonidarden reacted to this
Seela 1,187 Posted January 12, 2014 Funny... I can't wear ANY of my shoes anymore and am just buying cheap ones for now because I still have about 58 lbs to go. 1 ebonidarden reacted to this

able2cope 193 Posted January 12, 2014 I'm down a size and regular instead of wide... I even bought a kids pair last week! its a great feeling - and to think that I thought that shoes were the only thing I could buy before that were 'normal' and now I'm even growing out of all the ones I had, in the right direction 1 ebonidarden reacted to this

LouiseC 1,031 Posted January 13, 2014 From a 10.5 to a 9. It's crazy, I was NOT expecting it and actually found myself having to grieve for shoes! Lol Ridiculous, I know, but when I was big shoes became sort of my fashion indulgence. I may have had limited plus size clothing options, but I could always get beautiful shoes. It was very hard saying goodbye to some of them! Not that I would have it any other way of course! Sometimes when I am at yoga and in a forward fold I find myself staring at my feet and thinking " OMG I actually have skinny feet" they fascinate me. I never, ever realised I had fat feet! 1 ebonidarden reacted to this
Pagie 64 Posted January 13, 2014 I'm down 110 lbs. and went from a 8.5-9 to a 7.5. never thought that my feet were fat, but apparently I was wrong. 2 LouiseC and ebonidarden reacted to this
VSG AJH 499 Posted January 13, 2014 This is such an interesting thread! I'm actually having problems with my feet and have been in AFOs since before my sleeve. When my podiatrist last measured my feet, they were a 12EE (double wide), but when I was cast for therapeutic shoes last week, one foot was a 10.5 standard, and the other was an 11 wide. Not quite six weeks out, and I'm already experiencing foot changes. Wonder what my feet will be like in 80 pounds or so! 2 LouiseC and ebonidarden reacted to this
