Christa Deterding 2 Posted January 12, 2014 Hi! I had me sleeve surgery on the 2nd and am VERY disguraged. I had lost 12lbs during my fasting the week before it. I had a minor complication and was on IV fuilds for 2 days longer than I should have. I came home 20lbs heavier than when I went in. I have lost 98% of the Water weight but thats it. My measurements have not changed much. I have been doing everything I am suppose to be doing. So, when will I actually start losing weight? Christa
MIJourney 490 Posted January 12, 2014 Try to stay off the scale for a bit if you can. I lost 10 lbs in the 2 weeks before surgery but know I gained it all back & more from the gas and IV's in the hospital. I could barely button the shirt that I wore in to the hospital when I left. I only stayed 1 night. I waited til my 2 week follow up appointment at the Dr's office to weigh in and saw a loss then. After that I only weighed in once a week for at least 4 months. Good luck on your journey! 1 Memily reacted to this
Mrs.RRn 2,111 Posted January 12, 2014 It's true all those fluids balloon you up. Also, it's normal to lose the first week and stall around the 2nd & 3rd week as your body adjusts.

RunningA5K 645 Posted January 14, 2014 My surgeon told me to stay off the scale for a bit, because of the fluids and gas they pump you up with. No worries...it will happen for you soon.
