mumoftwo 34 Posted January 12, 2014 So this Thursday is my surgery day. I had only told my husband and my parents up until now. I had my band removed 8 weeks ago, and was ashamed to tell his family, I couldn't handle them judging me. So today I wrote out what seemed like and easy text message, but wasn't... It took all my will to say that I am embarrassed of my weight, my failure with band. I'm ashamed I can't do this on my own. Talk about a moment of reflection, I prey that I don't fail at this one. mistysj 1,940 Posted January 12, 2014 You have nothing to be ashamed of. I am proud of you and I don't even know you. It takes courage to keep working to make yourself more healthy. There is a whole forum here for people with band to sleeve revisions. I know you will find even more support there. http://www.bariatricpal.com/forum/394-band-to-gastric-sleeve-revisions/ All the best for your surgery. 2 gottalose100 and Ree reacted to this
mumoftwo 34 Posted January 12, 2014 Than you. I guess I had never had to say it out aloud before. That I failed. It was confronting. I know I am doing it for the right reasons.
feedyoureye 3,087 Posted January 13, 2014 Some people fail the band, others the band fails them... you are not a failure, you are a work in progress! Just like the rest of us. 1 mistysj reacted to this
