gixxergirl 85 Posted April 19, 2014 I tend to develop Keloids. Whenever I get cut I start a regime of Vitamin e oil and do cross friction massages. It's basically rubbing hard across the width of the scar. It keeps it from forming. 1 MrsGloMartin reacted to this

I'll share this information with her she's probably never heard of this as she has several that are really large and ugly looking. She was going to try to have them removed surgically but decided not to after learning that there's a 90% chance that they'll get even larger after surgery. 1 gixxergirl reacted to this
cutiepieinchi 158 Posted April 20, 2014 Hello, I've been on this site since march and today is the first time seeing this thread. I'm having my surgery on Monday the 21st and I'm glad that someone started this page because I'm really worried about the possibility of developing keloids at the surgery sites. I don't have any myself but I have a friend who's had the surgery and upon healing she now has several large keloids on her stomach where the cuts were made to insert the scope. Has anyone heard of this occurring in African American patients after surgery before? I have endometriosis and have to have lap surgery every 5 years. I def have keloid scars a but they have reduced dramtically by me using mederma. My surgeon will be using the same incisions to reduce scarring for me 1 MrsGloMartin reacted to this

EmergingMissP 20 Posted May 1, 2014 Hello. Had surgery on the 29th and was in so much pain. The pain meds helped a lot. I am supposed to be discharged today. Hope everyone is doing well. 2 WickedBeauty and MrsGloMartin reacted to this
gixxergirl 85 Posted May 1, 2014 I'm a week out. I'm not really in pain. There's some discomfort when I try to lie down. The preop diet was hard for me. I wish you luck! 1 WickedBeauty reacted to this

EmergingMissP 20 Posted May 1, 2014 Thanks gixxergirl! Pre-op was hard as well...I am forcing myself to drink the fluids now that I'm post up. Looks like we started this journey around the same time. Please stay in touch and congrats on your loss so far.

I also got some from Amazon. You should be okay with the diet as long as you keep it very low fat. When I did cheat it was rotisserie chicken.< /p>

MissTrish14 44 Posted May 1, 2014 Hello, i am 16 days post OP. I did not start my Vitamins until a week post OP. The liquid diet is killer, but it truly sets you up for post OP when you are Clear Liquids only. I cheated a couple of times with high Protein items, like a piece of grilled chicken breast. But only like 3 times in 14 days and not at all 5 days out.
