I'd just like to experience one more orgasm. I'm guessing the lack of an orgasm is due to medication ie anti-depressants. I have a wonderful hubby who tries EVERYTHING!

Helping myself doesn't work either...

So is an orgasm important or should I be happy with just the touchy feely thing?

It is true that certain prescription medications can cause decrease in sensation as well as libido. Maybe a discussion w/ your PCP is necessary. Good luck!

SSRI antidepressants shut me off like a light switch. It is very common and why I can't take them! Doesn't leave much of an option

Yep, I went off of my SSRI because of that reason.

Once I started exercising regularly, I didn't need them.

Do you think you could be happy with just touching and cuddling? That's something only you can answer.

I take meds for bipolar disorder and I don't have any problems having an orgasm or three, but when I was on regular antidepressants it was like taking me to the finish line and not letting me cross it. Horrible.

Cymbalta was the worst! And Zoloft. Now I'm on abilify, lamictal and tegritol and am a happy camper.

It is but I have chronic daily Migraines (get Botox injections every 3 months) and Cymbalta works so its a trade off

I took it and Neurontin for neuropathy pain from a spinal injury until I started taking Lyrica. It was like a miracle drug. No more walking using a walker. The Cymbalta made me unable to orgasm and it made me sweat excessively.

I've been taking SSRI's for 10 years. I've no problems with manual orgasms, it's my husband that turns me off :)

I couldn't. Heck, I'd wear my vibrator out first.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
