law001 40 Posted January 10, 2014 Hi, I was given my surgery date the other day and it seems like things are moving very fast and I'm starting to get nervous. I am 205lbs 5'3 and have a BMI of 36. I have moderate sleep apnea. At my heaviest I was 216 and with diet and exercise I lost almost 65lbs. I maintained a 50lb loss for almost 2yrs but in June I was involved in a serious car accident and have since gained about 50lbs. My concern is that I am taking drastic measures. I am afraid of dying and complications. I am afraid of never being able to enjoy eating again and I'm afraid that I won't be able to eat fruits and vegetables again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Suko75 10 Posted January 10, 2014 Good luck I am 9 days post, didn't have pre op diet and was worried sick, I was gonna escape on the morning of the surgery from fear I guess it's normal. My first day was difficult and I was asleep most time but today I am so much better today and walking well and eating Soup, pudding, mash potatoes I even took a bite of cake and doing well. I blend a banana with milk and drink my doc allows it. Guess it's just a matter of time and will start having better portions and eating my fruits
