New Lease On Life 6 Posted January 9, 2014 Can someone help me with this. I lost 49 pounds in 2 months and for the last 2 weeks I have lost nothing. I don't eat anymore than I have in the 1st 2 months. It is about 500 to 600 calories a day. Please tell me what I can do to jump start the weight loss again. belloni45 21 Posted January 9, 2014 I know I have the same issue. My sleeve was done Oct. 30th and I lost 50 lbs and have also stalled for the last 2 weeks. Can anyone help us or explain why this happens with no change in diet.
LindafromFlorida 1,542 Posted January 9, 2014 I have ignored the scale a week or more and then it does finally move! I can tell I am losing because of my clothes, but not according to scale. No worries, because no way something is not going on based on what I eat. 1 medicine1girl reacted to this
spiritedcowgirl63 108 Posted January 9, 2014 I'm at a stall over a month:-(. I'm back to 2 Protein Drinks and a meal. 5 months out. Loss a total of 63 since pre op. Happy about that:-)
Sherry73 94 Posted January 9, 2014 I was sleeved Oct 30 and I am down 61 pounds. At three weeks I hit a stall that lasted 3 weeks. I upped my Water and Protein. That seemed to break the stall for about two weeks. Now the last week the scale has barely moved.
jallsop 39 Posted January 9, 2014 I've been told that after your body looses a significant amount of weight rapidly it needs time to rest and recover. Try and change up your foods if at all possible but be sure to keep up your Protein and fluids. Good Luck and be patient, your doing amazing!!!

Lealea87 8 Posted January 9, 2014 My date was October 14th, I'm having the same issue. The scale hasn't moved in almost 2 weeks! 66 pounds down since surgery though, but I feel y'all's pain! The thought of going back on shakes makes me cringe!
Sherry73 94 Posted January 9, 2014 I am with you on the shakes. The only ones I can handle are the nectar. The others make me sick and breakout with a rash on my face and neck. I know my Protein is still an issue. I get in 60 to 70 grams, but doctor wants it at 90 grams. Cannot seem to make it there. My date was October 14th, I'm having the same issue. Stacy_wls 135 Posted January 9, 2014 Maybe try up ping your calories a bit. 500-600 a couple months out seems really low. I'm a month out and eating 600-800. I'm hoping to slowly g up to 1200 so my metabolism doesn't shut down. This is how my doctors office suggest. For sure make surgery you are getting your Water and Protein in. If you are working out, try switching up your workouts. Good luck!
gomekast 559 Posted January 9, 2014 I was sleeved October 22nd and can't get much more than 400-700. Thats 11 weeks post op and the last week I average around 500 calories. My sleeve just cant handle anymore than that. Also, if your stressed or anxious, my nurse told me our sleeves will swell up..really limiting our intake. 1 BabySheldon reacted to this
Lego78 8 Posted January 10, 2014 I went to a support group and the nutritionist told us that now that we weigh less, we need to increase our exercise. For example, we used to be able to burn 100 calories in 10 min of walking or elliptical. Well now, its only 75 calories because we weigh less. Stay the coarse on healthy eating, but up your intensity on your exercise. Also, this "stall" is common. Although we are not dropping rapid weight, over the coarse of a month, we drop the same. The scale might not move for 2-3 weeks, but then all of a sudden you lose 3-5 lbs. I had my surgery May 28, 2013. First 5 months, 10 lbs a month easy. Now its more like 5-8 lbs. Remember, you still want to lose it slowly. That is the overall most healthy! 2 Lealea87 and Vicki1955 reacted to this
