Sorry I hit the wrong button and it posted. I put on ten pounds of Fluid. I have lost that plus 2 additional pounds. First post-op appointment is Thursday. I'm glad everyone is doing well.

I was sleeved Dec 2nd and doing good. Lost 37lbs counting pre-op. Went from size 44 to a size 38. No trouble in the RR but I do get heartburn a lot lately. Eating is still tough, I get full super quick. I think my problem is I find myself eating too fast.

Was sleeved 12/3/13. I stalled the 4th week and I think I am done weighing myself for awhile.

Today I had:

1 Protein shake

about 8 bites of Soup

1 glass of red wine

Did the treadmill for 1.5 miles

Going to lift biceps and triceps in a few min.

Cutting out the wine after today. Really want to lose 15 lbs so I get into the 100s..... feeling discouraged and sad.

Hello fellow sleevers :) Sleeved 12-18 and will be post op 3 weeks tomorrow. I've only lost about 13-15 pounds eating well enough Protein I think. Went back to work 5 days after healing very well but I have yet to start an exercise program...

I'm frustrated cause I'm not dropping it any faster and I just wish I could!

Surgery weight 202 Current weight 185ish

Hi everyone! I had a good recovery - no issues, thankfully. I am on soft foods until next Monday. I havent lost any weight for the past 13 days - frustrating. I see my surgeon tomorrow again, let's see what he says. I have lost a total of 26lbs, sleeved on 12/16. I have been doing the elliptical and working with a trainer. I know my body will at some point realize that this new diet is here to stay!!! Happy to have done the surgery, no regrets whatsoever. My eating/drinking has been a lot less restrictive than I expected it to be. I can't wait to start on real foods and enjoy some of the healthy choices I love (fruits, veggies, lean meats, etc.). Hugs to all!

Thank you Kathy. I find it all consuming to space liquids and food, take vitiamins, take Fiber in the morning, figure out what I'm going to eat, work out, WORK my full time job, take care of my hubby, take care of my "furr-babies" etc., etc., etc. I'm sure I'll adjust like I say I can only "do" one day at a time.

Surgery date 12/16 and 12/17, doing well so far. I am on pureed still, about to move to soft on day 27. I'm having a little trouble with Constipation. Also had some trouble with nausea these past few days but I think I pinpointed the problem, milk might not agree with me. I am having trouble getting my Water intake and that worries me. I think I average about 35-40 oz and I know this just isn't enough but I'm really trying. I drink little sips and just get so full I can't keep drinking because I become nauseated. I've tried every liquid at every temp known to man. I start drinking as soon as I wake up. I'm down 36 lbs (18 pre-op and 18 post-op) and the scale is still now. I won't call it a stall because it has been less than a week. I would just like to start feeling a little more like my old self. In time I guess! I can't even begin to imagine I'll ever get enough calories in to sustain an hour long Zumba class. I am supposed to go back on February 1 (6 weeks post surgery) but I don't think that is going to happen.

Hey slvrsax, hang in there! I'm having the same issues you are. (Sleeved the same day) Pre-op I always drank at least 64oz. of Water a day and post-op I have been struggling with this. It helps if you break the surface tension of the water with something, i.e., lemon juice, Mio drops, etc. But even with this, I'm still struggling to drink as much as I should. I believe it will get better with time. Still having some low grade nausea too - esp. in the morning. Some days are better than others. I hope it helps you to hear that someone else is going through what you are experiencing. Just be patient with your body, it will get better. Zumba is a great goal to have! If you can't do it quite yet at 6 wks. post-op, then try a bit later. Try doing it at a lower level, remember you haven't done that vigorous of exercise for a while now. Think about how good it will feel to do it with your thinner, lighter version of you! :)

I am 3 weeks and 2 days post op and have lost 16.2 lbs. I am old so that is pretty good, I think. My first post op doctor visit is tomorrow. Not digging the pureed food. I haven't eaten anything that doesn't agree with me, yet.

I was sleeved on 12/26. Surgery went well as did recovery. No pain meds after leaving the hospital.

In the first week, I lost 10 lbs. The scale has not budged since Friday of last week. I haven't advanced to pureed foods yet. I have been living on my Protein shakes, Tomato Soup, strained cream of chicken (and other flavors), and yogurt. I am exercising an average of one hour per day.

Looking forward to getting out of the stall and on to bigger and better things!!!

I was sleeved 12/18. First follow up appt today and I'm down 49 lbs. Thought surgeon would be excited for me but he just said it was to be expected from a high bmi. Lots of issues with nausea, got more meds to help hopefully or else I go back for IV fluids next week. Here's to less nausea and more drinking (well, the right kind of fluids that is!)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
