I signed up with a personal trainer and am starting today. My dr. suggested strength training at my 4 month checkup last month. I'm very excited. I hate exercise, but I am very motivated right now. I want to get my metabolism going again, tighten up my saggy, baggy body, and put myself in good shape for future long term success. I had my measurements taken, caliper pinching, "before" photos, etc. My trainer has 6 week cycles, so we change it up every 6 weeks and modify based on progress. Anyone else doing something similar?

Ugghhh, I'm so out of shape! My trainer is a deceptively cute little muscle mouse who is torturing me in the gym along with a dose of eternal perkiness. She says it will be sooo much better in a month that I won't believe it. Just about killed me today LOL. Doing this madness 3x a week. Hope I make it a month. I am remembering why I hate exercise and am such a lazy azz. Gotta turn this around!

I started working out with a trainer about 7 weeks ago and I SWEAR it gets better! I've dropped 16 pounds and a size since starting with him!

Keep up with it! You won't be sorry, I promise!

I've been working with a trainer since September. I now have defined triceps and biceps! I was able to score a great deal by prepaying a bunch of months in advance. I plan to stick with my trainer for as long as I can afford. My trainer keeps me accountable, ensures I work out properly with good form, and pushes me more than I would if I tried to do it on my own. I'm glad your excited! The first few workouts will be tough and you will be sore but if you stick with it- you'll be glad you did.
