krysten.warren 32 Posted January 6, 2014 Hot wings! I'm 21 days out and on mushy soft food. Anyone have any suggestions to get somewhat close to wings or am I just gonna have to tough this one out?
LindafromFlorida 1,542 Posted January 6, 2014 Choices like that Krysten, are what made us fat. No one loved wings better than me and my husband. We do not eat like that anymore because we so not want to go back to that place in life. Please redirect your focus and try different recipes!!!! Hugs and inspiration your way! 2 ladyd728 and onedaycloser reacted to this
krysten.warren 32 Posted January 6, 2014 That's what I was asking for if anyone had any healthy recipes that tasted some what like that that was healthy and allowed in the mushy soft food diet. Just because I've given up food doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to have a healthy version that taste good.. That's just my opinion. 2 BabySheldon and LindafromFlorida reacted to this

HardWork13 83 Posted January 6, 2014 I too loved wings. A place near me bakes them and they're skinless. On another note, google buffalo chicken chili. It's delicious.

BabySheldon 158 Posted January 7, 2014 It's awesome how creative we get with food! I love it (: thanks for all the ideas tonight! I I don't agree that just because you're on the path to better health and weight loss that you can't enjoy food .....food is not going away and it is something that we have to contemplate every time we open our mouths.....we have social events, family events, religious events and we need to be able to work with it and through it .... We are overweight because we like food and want to make healthier choices so we need a way to find how to make healthier choices out of what we enjoy....I see no problem with this..... VSG AJH 499 Posted January 7, 2014 I make Buffalo chicken Dip for parties. Here's a link to a recipe. (http://m.allrecipes.com/recipe/68461/buffalo-chicken-dip) I would suggest using lower fat or fat-free cheeses (not sure if fat-free cream cheese melts), and I would choose a lower calorie ranch or make the ranch dressing myself with fat-free sour cream and dry Ranch powder. This is a very cheesy dip, so perhaps you could modify and use these ingredients/flavors just to season your chicken instead of truly making it like a dip. VSG AJH 499 Posted January 7, 2014 As a word of caution: I tried habanero hot sauce on my soft foods last week, so a little over three weeks out. It felt okay hitting my baby sleeve, but it immediately went through me, and wasn't at all pleasant making it's exit. Im waiting a few more weeks to try again (5 weeks out tomorrow.). That said: Be careful with the hot sauce! 2 krysten.warren and BabySheldon reacted to this
