Sherbet?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if sherbet is bad for bandsters? I'm in my puree stage and I need to drink a Protein Shake as a snack in-between meals. I like the Boost shakes and last night I added a teaspoon of orange sherbet to my 1/2 cup of vanilla Boost. It tastes wonderful and I look forward to drinking my Protein. The diet that was given to me didn't say anything about sherbet and I am the type of person who feels as if she doesn't stick to the diet something will go wrong.

Looking for someone out there to say "It's okay, sherbet is fine, Enjoy!" :D

It's okay. Sherbet is a liquid food. It's lower in calories and fat than ice cream, but still not something you'd want to have a whole lot of on a regular basis.

This is the only time where you'll be encouraged to take in liquid calories. Once you're off liquids, it is encouraged to only take in liquids with no calories as soft foods/liquids generally add more calories than you need.

Good luck! I know this time is tough.

What leatha said...and things that MELT at room temperature or body temperature or DISSOLVE on contact with liquids (saliva) are liquid.

So, cotton candy is pretty much liquid. It's a gawd awful choice, but it is not a solid when it gets to your stomach.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
