What were ur favorite shakes?

I absolutely love the Optimum Nutrition shakes. I get them on Amazon. I have had coffee flavor and mocha Cappuccino so far. Next I'm ordering the chocolate coconut. They are around $50 but the container is 5 lbs and lasts for awhile! And no Protein flavor at all! Can be mixed with Water or milk and tastes good either way.

Go to Vitamin Shoppe and try there sample packs they have samples of the unjust flavored and something nectar that most people really enjoy also, I have learned from asking at both The Vitamin Shoppe and at GNC if you buy any of the containers of Protein and you don't like it just save your receipt and you can return it within 30 days !! I think that is just amazing !!! I have personally done it quite a few times! I tried almost every Protein Shake under the sun and my problem was they were all wayyy too sweet! The only one I could tolerate was the Isopure low carb Dutch chocolate. I would buy the 7.5lb container which seemed to always be on sale for like $75 and that would last me a month and a half or more. I would also add PB2 and it would change the flavor up and make it taste similar to a not so sweet Reese's Cup.

I had over 100 samples that I had either bought or gotten for free. It was awesome after surgery to have these. Most were too sweet right away but I could drink them later on. I used the Syntrax Nectar and matrix too and they were all good but now I like the Optimum Nutrition best. If you go to my bariatric pantry or Nashua Nutrition you can order samples for fairly cheap.

  • I have certainly wasted alot of money on shakes. My best advice is to get a decent unflavored and add your flavor to taste with fruit, cappacino, juice, crystal light. I love desinger whey avail at Vitamin Shoppe. Lots of flavors if u like that or a decent size double the size of unjury for 22.99.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
