Hi, I'm from San Pedro de Macoris :) I came to NYC when I was 10 yrs old.

I did use first response Opk, I wasn't sure when i got them positive, if my body was doing what it was supposed to be doing, you know how pcos is...and after that we only did it twice that cycle during my fertile window, I wasn't even sure if i was ovulating for sure, and I stayed in bed after sorry tmi but I didnt go to pee after. I know yuck, I just clean in bed, somebody told no to pee after, so i pee before.

I had my positive 8 days before my period, that is extremely early, n I couldn't believe it, so the next i went to clinic and pay 35 dollars for a same day results and it was positive.

Be ready cuz, your miracle is coming soon!
God bless you.

My name is Krystal, I'm in Houston Texas area. I was diagnosed with pcos when I was 19, but little did I no I have had it all my life. I have never had a normal period. Mine won't come for 2-3 months but then when it does it will last for a whole month! Not non stop, it will be there in the morning an by lunch will be gone, then later in the evening would be back. It's so bad that I have to wear a pad all the time cause I me er no when it's going to come:(

Me an my hubby have being trying to conceive for about 7 years using chlomid an metformin, but it was a no go. My fertility specialist recommended the sleeve because of the great results of alot of other patients. So... I am scheduled to have the surgery at the end of the month 5/28/14. I start my liquid diet on the 14th:)

I have tried for years and because of my weight and PCOS it didn't happen. Most docs advise you to lose weight before they start any assistive measures, so after years of struggling, overeating, and being depressed about it, I got sleeved.

I truly hope that it regulates my cycle and gets everything working again.

I'm 33 almost 34 and want kids so bad. I'm the gal that ends up crying after everyone else's baby showers and births. I'm happy for them, but want to experience being a mom too

I am 25 years old and was told I have PCOS a year ago. But I think I've had it for a lot longer. I never had regular periods. As mine were 2-3 months apart and when I did have one it would last for 2-3 weeks. I am now having the Sleeve on 10/30/14 and am so excited! I can't wait for this new journey of my life and loosing all of this weight! Good luck to all.

Congrats on getting started on your new journey! Mine has been amazing so far. I was sleeved 5/28/14 an I'm down 74 lbs! It's going so fast... I to also have pcos an hope to beat it an have a regular cycle so I can have babies. I'm 27 years old and I have had pcos all my life but wasn't diagnosed with it until I was 23. When I would go to my gynecologist an explain the lengthy or non exsistence periods, he would tell me it was my body changing an hormones going crazy! That it was normal for ladies my age to go through body changes. It wasn't until me and the hubby went to a fertility specialist that I was diagnosed. Well I know I'm probably going into to much detail so I will just shut my trap! Lol.. It's just so nice to have conversation with other ppl going through the same things as me.

I know this is an old post but it's so exciting to read. I too have PCOS and have wanted nothing more to be a mom for many years. All together I tried getting pregnant for 11 years. I quit trying for awhile then decided to have the surgery. I plan on stopping birth control at one year post op to see what happens. I will be 34 this year so time is of the essence. Congrats to all of you that have had success after surgery.

I know that this post is kind of old but I just wanted to take a moment to say congratulations to all of the new mommies here. I have read every post on this thread and see that I have very similar story to all of you. My husband and I have been together for 13 years and have been trying to get pregnant for over 10. It has been a bit of a rough journey for me. For the longest going from doctor to doctor trying to figure out why I wasn't having normal periods until my previous PCP recommended that I see a specialist. After doing months of research I suspected that what I have had all along was PCOS since I was a teenager. Before going to this specialist every other doctor would say you have amenorrhea, throw some pills at me and send me on my way. Meanwhile I continued to gain weight that was harder to lose. Each time I attempted to lose I would gain it all back and more. Finally walking in to the office to see the specialist after only a few minutes of my rambling she said you have PCOS.

I tried infertility treatment that failed. I started working out even harder and to no avail I still could not get pregnant. I then said okay maybe doing the weight loss surgery would help but then my employer switched insurance companies and I wasn't eligible. Years later I am 39 and upon researching my husband's insurance I found that they do cover WLS so here I am beginning the process to have the surgery. I went to a information seminar the day before Thanksgiving and I should be hearing from the surgeon's office upon verification of my insurance to schedule a consultation some time this week. I am praying that things will work out and that I too can be a mommy as well. Seeing all of your posts here gives me hope. Congratulations again and God bless you all. :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
