5Towner 1 Posted January 5, 2014 I know each surgeon is different but mine said opti and clear broth for 4 weeks before introducing the next stage. I'm 10 days out from my revision and feeling better each days with only some soreness at the incisions . I'm drinking chicken broth, 4 Optifast shakes and clear vegetable Soup but need the energy of pureed food to get through my day and 4 Optifast is only 640 calories . Is anyone else being told 4 weeks and what do I do ?

Follow your plan and don't deviate without permission from your surgeon. That plan sounds miserable but I'm sure your surgeon has a good reason for it. It'll be over before you know it. Fluffnomore 1,235 Posted January 5, 2014 Our plan had 4 weeks of liquids too. Two weeks of clears, two weeks of full. I know this is hard but it is really going to seem like a blink of the eye after the fact.

nursebeccarn 26 Posted January 5, 2014 Comparison is the thief of joy. Focus on all the good things that are happening in your life right now and follow your doctors instructions! Try not to focus on what everyone else did, focus on you and making healthy changes! You can do this! 3 BellaHugz, jazma and gourmetone reacted to this
DaniCan 17 Posted February 11, 2014 I realize you are probably way past this stage now but for others going through the same experience.... don't be afraid to ask your specialist for a clear explanation so that you have a really good understanding and are comfortable with the instructions that you are given. I made many mistakes with my lapband because I didn't understand the reason behind all the rules. I'm preparing for a revision now and am trying to learn all that I can (including from my own past mistakes like ignoring advice because I didn't understand the reasons behind it). We're blessed that there are some really good resources available now that didn't exist many years ago - when I got the band. Good luck! I wish you well. 2 gourmetone and sleevethefatbehind reacted to this
