4meonly 4 Posted January 4, 2014 Am having my sleeve to bypass surgery on Wednesday. No preop diet. I am very nervous. Is the surgery as scary as we convince ourselves it is? I was originally scheduled for Dec 18th. My husband came down with bronchitis and rescheduled. So, of course I keep thinking that I could be over the surgery if I would have stuck with the original date. Any reassurance here?
Slim Lola Slim 30 Posted January 4, 2014 I'm going in on Thursday the 9th, and having ask kinds of thoughts in my head. But it's technically the 8th in theUS as I live in Sweden You can do this! And so can I! It's not a light choice or a whim, it's for a healthier, happy body, to be around for my husband, kids and grandkids but also to participate in life fully. Be a better physical version of me with no excuses for not taking this chance to lessen my weight burden four good. It's going to have its ups and downs, good, bad and sometimes ugly, however the end result will be worth it :-D Don't know if this was what you were asking but I thought I'd give us both a peptalking to We got this! 4meonly 4 Posted January 4, 2014 Slim Lola, yes, a pep talk is exactly what I need. I was very excited to get my sleeve, so didn't really get nervous. This time it isn't for weight loss (I weigh 135lbs), but for bile reflux. So, the 'prize' at the end is not quite as exciting. Thank you for the pep talk! I would love to read journals of the day of surgery. I know the bypass is different than the sleeve surgery.
Slim Lola Slim 30 Posted January 5, 2014 I hope the bypass will resolve your bile reflux issue. Definitely a difference mainly with sugar and Vitamin maintenance. I'm sure you will do great
