it sounds like you may be having heart burn/acid reflux. are you taking anything for that? i wasnt vomitting but before i got my stomach acid under control i used to feel hungry a lot. i started being afraid my sleeve wasn't working. once i started taking my prilosec and the acid died down i didnt feel hungry anymore.

my nutritionist reccomended i eat/drink 2 to 4oz every 30 minutes all day. that also helps me feel full since i'm on full liquid diet and the only things i eat are still liquidy in nature, like yogurt or pudding.

i'm wondering, have u been cleared for o.j? that has a lot of acid in it and i know some people havent even had wls have trouble stomaching o.j. my nutritionist says i should be having apple juice or sugar free crystal light, no o.j. maybe limiting your intake or diluting it with Water will help.

these are just tips based on my experience. u definately should follow up w/a doctor.

first off, how far out from surgery are you? your page is a bit sparse.

Second, Why did you drink (and how if you are post sleeve) 8 oz of OJ??? That is a lot of sugar. Protein first is the golden rule.

The froth is common and more often seen with lap band patients. I suspect the acid from the OJ may have contributed to the formation.

Your hunger can be from the lack of Protein intake. Always work on getting the protein shake down first. sipping the liquids slowly will allow you to take more in over time but you shouldn't take in more than 4 oz (your new stomach will only hold so much and the rest will sit in the esophagus till room is available in the tiny tummy)

The first 2 weeks after surgery it was just 4 ounces of Protein drink 3x per day and in between i sipped crystal light. Even now after 10 months I wouldn't attempt 8 ounces of oj. Too much sugar. Stay away from sugar juices not kind to your new delicate stomach. If you are still hungry try some Soup broth. Unjury makes a delicious Protein packed chicken Soup.< /p>

Where is the unjury Soup located?

Go to www.unjury.com. It might take a few days to get to you but I used the chicken soup and Protein powder for months after my surgery. It is filling yet easy on the stomach. If you order the Protein Powder shake you can make 1/2 portions at a time (4 ounces). There are no crazy questions- please turn to us for help and definitely get in touch with your doctor as soon as possible and ask for an eating plan. My surgeon gave me very specific lists of what I should be eating for the first year after surgery. Hope this helps

The Unjury Soup is great and I have found that for Protein Shakes GNC Total Lean Rich chocolate is great and Core Power light banana/strawberry is really, really good.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
