DonRodolfo 1,416 Posted January 3, 2014 So I have hit my first stall. Surgery date 11\25. How long do they last? Depends on a whole boatload of reasons. I have found that doing something different helped break mine. If you're not doing well on hydration, hydrate more. If you're not exercising, start. If you are, increase duration, intensity, or even do something different for awhile. If you're exercising like a fiend, cut back. Up your Protein. Up your calories and possibly fat and carbs as well (or cut back on all three). My surgeon said a stall is if you don't lose weight AND don't lose inches or gain weight and gain inches within a six-week period. 1 Memily reacted to this
McButterpants 2,846 Posted January 3, 2014 13 days between Weeks 4 and 5...it sucked. I would suggest putting the scale away for at least a week if not two weeks. Keep following the plan from your doc and/or NUT. Walk/exercise (if you're cleared). The stall will be a distant memory soon. Best of luck! 1 Memily reacted to this

No game 14,437 Posted January 3, 2014 Thanks, Lauraven. I needed this. Been bouncing around for a few weeks and getting frustrated. A bit of a personal antidote here.. My whole weight loss journey has been a stall with bits and pieces lost here and there. It was a bit frustrating at times, but at some point I just gave into the process and said I'd look at the big picture after a year. And if by then there wasn't a good loss then I would freak! 1 Bombs reacted to this
kyleebean 209 Posted January 3, 2014 I can so relate. I had revision to sleeve on 11/27 and have been stalled for a week. Actually I lost two pounds but then they came back. I wonder if I'm eating too much because I DO get hungry. I see people say they are never hungry and I wish that was the case for me. For example, tonight I had 1/2 cup egg salad and a dannon greek light and fit yogurt. I probably could have eaten more but didn't.
