kuyon685 8 Posted January 3, 2014 I would like to start jogging but my belly bounces around like a bowl full of jelly. Which means jogging only happens after I look around for no one around then watch the whole time I'm jogging. I went from a 4x to a 3x shirt in one month. I wear a 2x but it is very tight. Should I just get the 2x compression shirt and squeeze in it like a sausage?
Scout1234 161 Posted January 3, 2014 I don't leave the house without wearing a compression shirt…. When I went to the Spanx Store the girls told me there to buy the compression shirt in the same size as the shirt you are wearing. So if you are an XXL then buy the Spanx that is XXL. I took her advice and she was dead on the money!! I started wearing them at XXL and am down to a L and as I lost weight I kept the Spanx the same size as my tshirt size and it worked perfectly! Good luck
Recycled 2,182 Posted January 3, 2014 Speaking of compression shirts or wraps. Will they adjust (if so, how much) to stay with you as you lose weight or do you have to keep getting smaller and smaller ones as you lose. And which is better, the wraps or the shirts/ suits?? 1 nancy264 reacted to this
nancy264 50 Posted January 3, 2014 I also been thinking of this, do they have the wraps, do they adjust to different size
GotItDoneInHarlem 302 Posted January 3, 2014 I wear the Spanx for men. With the Spanx brand you should buy the size of what you are wearing. I wore an XL when I was XL and continued wearing it as XXL. Now I'm back to XL and it's still great! Take care of the collars especially with the tanks. Getting in an out of them is like wrestling an anaconda and you can blow out the elastic if you're not careful.
Butterthebean 8,146 Posted January 3, 2014 I started out with under armour shirts (or the cheaper knock offs) but eventually bought a compression garment made for Tummy Tuck patients. It's like a pair of compression underwear that comes up to the top of my abdomen and has a zipper in front. At first it felt restrictive but I very quickly learned to love the security of having my belly held in place. I originally wore it for jogging but soon wore it everywhere. I bought it at makemeheal.com 1 VSG AJH reacted to this
PdxMan 4,292 Posted January 3, 2014 I also did the Under Armour compression shirts as well as the leggings as I was irritated by the skin on the back of my thighs and calves jiggling as well at the tummy jiggle. Plus, it was staying pretty steady at ~35 degrees around here, so it was a nice base layer, too. I was wearing L, but bought the M and squeezed in like a sausage. I knew I was continuing to lose and it wouldn't be long before I would need the medium and didn't want to lose the benefit of the compression. I was able to find a couple at Goodwill for far less.
