So I'm 4 months out and I find myself back in a slump. I wanna say I 100% follow the rules......but lately (last 2 weeks) I find that I'm getting comfortable where I'm at and I think it's okay to have one cookie. I get all my Protein I'm everyday 80 grams, I take all my medications and Vitamins, Water well not so much, maybe 32oz a day. I guess I'm asking what do you do when you get a craving?

Drink a lot of water and do something else distracting. Stay on the straight and narrow for two days and it gets better.

I am 3 months out- and I definitely had those moments. I didn't deny myself anything really, Peanut Butter and honey is my go to sweet craving curver. Taking out all the processed foods out of my diet reeeeally helped! And herbal teas, all flavors. Weight loss has been pretty good hasn't stalled yet.

I don't deny myself anything either, I will have pizza but I only eat the cheese and the topping, and actually I can't even eat the topping off one piece and I get full. I think the guilt feeling falls in. Knock on wood I haven't stalled yet so I must be doing something right. Now to add exercise in and I should be good. Thanks for responding that was my first post !

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
