I haven't had it yet, but it's on my list. I have a real turkey neck now and while the clothes can hide the loose skin everywhere else, (and it's everywhere), I can't hide my face and I don't like what I see...lines by my mouth, bags under my eyes, and the neck as well. I'm hoping to meet with a plastic surgeon late this year and try to get this done in 2015.

How about you? Are you investigating surgeons yet?

I still have 50 pounds to lose but I'm thinking about it a lot. In Québec, some of the plastic surgery are covered (not for the face though). Tummy Tuck and the arms for sure. If it's possible, I'll go for the thigh and pay for the facelift later. Where R U from ?

I'm in New York City. I know a face lift is totally out of pocket and I'm not sure what the cost is. My lapband surgeon has patients who've had plastic surgery and I have a name from one of them. It's a start for when I'm ready.

When I lose the 77 lbs I need to lose.... Mini facelift here I come. I don't think I need a full one yet but a mini one would be nice.

Fortunately, no. My neck is so skinny now I look sick lol. Didn't realize it until we took pictures at my daughter's bday party last month. Good luck though.

Actually the exercises I speak of are for toning and tightening to help with the gobble neck

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
