sdsmsony 2 Posted January 2, 2014 My surgery was July 11 in mx. The first 2 to 3 mths were great. I lost 41lbs. Went from a size 26 to an 18. I've had no weightloss in 3 months. Calories are typically at 1000. I know I need to get more Protein in and workout but I feel like the scale is never going to move again. 6mths out I'm worried I've lost my prime opportunity to lose weight. I was a previous Lapbander and that wasn't successful due to complications. ???? just feeling like I've now had two weightloss surgeries and I'm still obese!!! Anyone still lose a decent amount of weight after 6mths?
gmanbat 5,889 Posted January 2, 2014 Yes, I lost about 40% of my excess after 6 months. Working out was primary in my program along with good nutrition, rest, and Water. You can do it!

feedyoureye 3,087 Posted January 3, 2014 I lost quite a bit of weight after 2 years out! It can be done. The first 6 months are the easiest, but don't give up, the sleeve will still work for you later on. I still feel restriction if I do Protein first and add a couple of 16 hour "fasts" a week. (eat a early dinner one day, and eat a late lunch the next day causing a 16 hour fast) this helps me to feel the restriction in my sleeve better. 1 musiclover reacted to this
