GotItDoneInHarlem 302 Posted January 2, 2014 I assume they gave you omeprazole or another PPI heartburn medication. Are you taking it as prescribed? Call your doctor. Your tummy is gonna rumble for a long while, but the heartburn can be treated now. Add some Gas-X for grins. It helps.
McButterpants 2,846 Posted January 2, 2014 You should call the doc for the heartburn if he hasn't prescribed something for it. As for the belly noises...yeah, it's loud. My dad thought my dog was growling, but it was my tummy! That went away for me around day 5. Take good care.
donewithdieting2 7 Posted January 2, 2014 Never had heartburn till after my sleeve. Needed to take a daily PPI for 4 months after, now nothing. You can get a script or just get OTC prevacid. Just depends what I eat on how my tummy talks. Good Luck.
MIJourney 490 Posted January 2, 2014 You're actually on one of the worst days hate to say. Days 2 & 3 for me were worse than day 1 but I slept as much as possible so didn't have to deal with it too much. Each day will get better 1 onedaycloser reacted to this
Catherine707 253 Posted January 2, 2014 Tummy noise comes and goes for me.... it hasn't been a huge problem. I think I have had 3 times in the past 7 months where my stomach was so loud that someone else heard it. It will get better as your body gets used to the new stomach size. As for the heart burn. Make sure you sit up for 15 - 30 minutes after eating, let gravity help keep the acid out of your esophagus!
