LoryLosesXS 154 Posted January 1, 2014 Protein protein protein....biotin I take everyday too. I've heard mixed reviews. I was sleeved sept 28th. I'm blonde and thinner hear too, but haven't noticed a significant amount of Hair loss. What I know for sure is if it happens.....it will come back. Focus on 90 to 100 grams of protein is what my doc says. I've slipped a lil, but getting back on track with my protein. I feel more satiated also when I eat that much protein and sugar cravings subside. Best wishes!
need2bthin! 235 Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) I agree Protein and Biotin maybe help but my Dr. Said it's a waiting game and everyone was different it's just "collateral damage" just like stretch marks and saggy skin. That doesn't affect everyone just "some people" but for those people it can be horrible! So I'm off to take my Vitamins and count my hairs Edited January 2, 2014 by need2bthin! IndieAllie 36 Posted April 16, 2014 Hello fellow friends & sleevers, I wanted to give an update on the hair loss. I am now 6.5 months out and my Hair loss that started at month 3 has officially slowed down, if not almost stopped completely. I didn't start taking anything different, I believe it was just the cycle it needed to run and thank God it seems to be over!! My hair looks fine but I can see it's thinner in the back (where no one can notice much) and from what I read it will grow back over the next few months. t_haii 38 Posted April 17, 2014 I am a hairdresser and I thought I might be able to shed some light on products such as nioxin. Nioxin was originally made for cancer patients. It works as an extreme cleanser to remove build up in your scalp. I have not had my surgery yet but I assume Hair loss is from diet changes and things like nioxin won't help because your hair grows from within! Protien, Biotin, and Iron are the best things I can recommend and if you want to speed up growth adding a few drops of mint essential oil into your Shampoo will help stimulate your scalp. Hope this might help some of you 2 gixxergirl and katesuccess reacted to this
