marfar7 1,533 Posted January 1, 2014 You lucky dogs! I wish I was cold all the time. I'm sposed to be - I have hypothryroidism. I just moved to So Ca 2 mths ago (from Or) and it's averages the last month have been 75-80. I sleep with the window open too (88 yr old FIL keeps the thermostat at 83) and shorts. Wish I was cold.... 1 nesa83 reacted to this
JanetBP 16 Posted January 1, 2014 Usually i am "the hot one" and i do not mean looks -wise!! After my surgery 12/10/13, I have been FREEZING! I am typing this w/ gloves on! My surgeon said this was normal. Anyone else? Also, after many nights of going to bed w/ flannels, a hat and gloves, six blankets ( such a gorgeous site when you add in my C-Pap), my sister told me about something that has made me soooo happy! I am now the proud owner of a heated mattress pad! OMGAWD - what a difference! Run to the store now and get one if you too are cold! Same here! I have the heat on 72 and a portable heater blowing on me and I'm still cold. I was also the hot one, sweating in December. I sit in my recliner now with a big blanket pulled up to my chin. I used to sleep with just a sheet in all the months but January and February...I have now rounded up every extra blankie in the house and I'm sleeping under them. I can barely move from their weight....LOL. From the other replies this sounds pretty normal. I'm sure the lizard-women I work with will be happy not hear me say "dang, it is HOT IN HERE". :-) Janet 2 Taphophile and chefcoll reacted to this
supersleeve13 3 Posted January 1, 2014 I'm killing the hubs because I'm always cold and he is sweating but he has been a champ and left the fans off and heat up. Has anyone else had trouble sleeping? I sleep 4 hours tossing and turning the whole time and then can't get back to sleep. Anyone have the same issue? Before surgery I could sleep 10-12 hours at night!! I'm 7 days post op. 1 honeylove reacted to this

macman 603 Posted January 1, 2014 I am the guy who always turned the heat down. Or was asking my wife if she moved the thermostat? Since my sleeve surgery on 12/23 I am the one who is freezing! Seems the tables have turned.

McButterpants 2,846 Posted January 1, 2014 I live in the north where we have a beautiful blanket of snow covering the ground. Last night while waiting to ring in the new year at home with the family, I was wearing sweat pants, a long sleeve t-shirt, sweatshirt, socks and fleece slippers. I even covered up with a blanket for good measure. I may have to become a snowbird at the ripe old age of 43! Happy new year everyone! 1 Taphophile reacted to this
