I am scheduled in 2 weeks for PS. The doc suggests a panni, abdominoplasty and puboplasty. Insurance is covering the panni but the rest is on me and I can't afford all that so I must eliminate one. I have lost 181 pounds and am ready to experience the huge change everyone but me can see. I desperately need advice from those who know best which would give me the best reward for my limited funds. I can swing one or the other but not both. Also, can I manage the pain with meds or is it worth the extra $250 to spring for the pain pump?

I would say have the full Tummy Tuck - I think you mean the mons lift when you say puboplasty? - My PS did that one (Mons lift) for free with my TT (full anchor / t incision) Though I did not have the belly muscles touched as I have hernia mesh in there

Without my belly muscles tightened I had no pain at all - Just a pulling forwards for a week.... I reckon the pain all comes from them doing the belly muscles as when they did my hernia - That did hurt alos - I didnt have a pain pump - I took pain killers for the first four days without missing them, - Hopefully someone else here will help you out on that one

I wish you good luck with your procedure :-)

I would do the abdominoplasty. Bigger benefit for your buck, but depends on which bothers you more. Pain was minimal for me and VERY manageable with the pain meds. I had a TT/Panni on 10/17/2013

My advice? Put some more money in the bank and wait for a full body lift. Getting it all done in one shot is a hell of better deal financially (for me, anyway) and getting through the healing. I am 8 weeks post op from body lift and brachioplasty.

Curious what you decided. I lost over 150# and that combination of recommendations puzzles me based on the consults I had. I had the lower body lift as well. At first the idea terrified me but i can see now that I would not have had the best results with the Tummy Tuck alone. I went the Mexico - have a bunch done at once route - arms, breasts and the small thigh lift so no long scar. Rugged recovery, but now, wow, I am amazed at my own transformation. The only bad part is I still have side boobs, underarm extra skin but I just don't want to do an upper body lift which is the only solution to that problem so i will just live with it. It is easily disguised and really not THAT bad. Other than that, my skin problems are SOLVED...wooo hooo!!!

For anyone, i would recommend MULTIPLE consults because you start to really understand the options better.

Surgery coming up this Tuesday. I'm doing panni, abdominoplasty and puboplasty. Insurance is covering the panni, I'm on the hook for the rest, just about $6000. Based on your experience, how many pounds should I expect to go and how much difference will it make in my pants size?

at first, your weight will go up, due to swelling, and you will wear at least a size or two bigger. Once all swelling is gone, you may wear the same size as now, just better.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
