jimhead4866 21 Posted December 31, 2013 Im just wondering how far along everyone was along when they started working out after their surgery? I know the dr doesnt want ppl doing heavyifting for like a month after but im talking light workouts like walking on a treadmill for a half hour. I want to get back to feeling like a normal person and get the most out of this operation as possible.
JSCRIMPSHIRE 56 Posted December 31, 2013 Im just wondering how far along everyone was along when they started working out after their surgery? I know the dr doesnt want ppl doing heavyifting for like a month after but im talking light workouts like walking on a treadmill for a half hour. I had to wait until six weeks for minor lifting.
McButterpants 2,846 Posted December 31, 2013 I was cleared for walking immediately after surgery - I was told to walk as much as you can as often as you can. I got tired very fast - like at the 1/3 of a mile mark. I worked up to a mile about one week out. At 6 weeks I can do 3-4 miles at one time. You should always follow what your surgeon's direction.
