Dona, keep posting your concerns because there are so many people here who have had the same thing and can reassure you. Extreme pain, swelling, vomiting, fevers are some of the things to be concerned about. You are sounding great!

No I didn't have any of those besides the bruising this morning. I am following the diet to the best of my ability. I am walking as much as I can but also resting. I've slept 9hours straight without waking up at all. I was light headed this morning, took some sips then a shower. I have no idea how I managed to take a shower because my legs were shaking. Now I am sitting and will watch some netflix while drinking diet snapple iced tea. It's just weird that I feel normal besides the above. No pain maybe just when I get out of bed and stand up or sit down. I hope he took enough stomach out lol.

Warning Dona and anyone else......., my husband has more health problems than me and as his blood pressure has gone down and his meds adjusted, he has had problems with lightheadedness. He was feeling lightheaded 2 weeks post surgery but got in the shower anyway and passed out cold. Big shower, but he fell and there are six cracked tiles where he sent the shower chair (he was not sitting), through them, blackened his cheek and face hitting something, and has a long scraped bleeding arm from hitting one of the glass doors with a metal bottom. My advice is do not get in the shower feeling lightheaded!!!!!! If you hit your head it could be a catastrophe!

Omg I hope he is okay. That's horrible. I will never take a shower again if I am lightheaded

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
