chefcoll 53 Posted December 29, 2013 I was sleeved 12/10/13. I lost 43 pounds pre-op. I have been "eating" Protein Drinks, Greek yogurt, Soups and puddings. I have only lost about 10 pounds post-op. (I did gain 11pounds in the hospital). Here is my fear...I am hardly eating. When I am able to eat more, how am I possibly going to continue to lose weight when i am barely eating now and the weigh loss has been slow? Does this make sense to anyone else? 1 LindafromFlorida reacted to this
magtart 603 Posted December 29, 2013 Eating more will probably increase your weight loss. 2 chefcoll and covered jewels reacted to this
LindafromFlorida 1,542 Posted December 29, 2013 I was sleeved 11/18 and felt the same way. I went from 205 to 180 , creeping. scale has not moved in ? 2 weeks. But I went down 2 sizes in my pants, and feel fantastic!!!! So I am doing my thing, and not focusing on the scale. Best wishes and Happy New Year!!! 2 unbesleevable1 and chefcoll reacted to this
vsggirl 33 Posted December 29, 2013 Yes it makes sense, I was sleeved 12/11/13. The scale has not moved in a week. I am just trying to keep up my Protein and fluids. Going to start exercising soon. This forum has truly been a blessing to me so keep doing what you doing and posting for support. 2 chefcoll and LindafromFlorida reacted to this
RJ'S/beginning 5,358 Posted December 29, 2013 First of all. Protein is the backbone of weight loss esp. with this program...If you are not getting enough nourishment your body will shut you down and in a hurry...It is protecting you from starvation and that is a normal reaction...Nothing strange here.. The less you eat your metabolism slows down as well and fat is restored in the tissues for safe keeping..... Once you start taking in Protein and Water and Vitamins..Your body will relax and you will start to lose again... Right now look at it like this..Your body is taking a much needed rest from everything it has endured through this journey so far..Stay on target, and keep going...and soon your body will say..I am still being fed..I am okay and I can release weight.. Don't you think the body is an amazing machine to be able to care for you like this!!! I do! 3 Kelsnikol, chefcoll and SandeeD reacted to this
